The rapid deluge of vandalism

It is at high speed that the old convent of the Sisters of the Redemption undergoes the thunders of vandals who are looking for strong sensations.

Classified as a heritage building, the religious community deserted it in the mid-1990s for a retreat in a somewhat smaller place. Unoccupied for a few years, the building was sold in 2015 to a businessman from the region with a funeral center project for this hundred years old building.

For the moment, the project remained in the boxes and after more than a year and a half, nothing has been done. If the owner has already indicated that only the shell interested him, the fact remains that the interior is in a pitiful state. Vandalized and tagged, the site also experienced its share of floods and infiltration of any kind.

The basement is covered by several centimeters of water in some places and the window tiles have been broken in several places, leaving mold and mushrooms invading its walls.

As the city becomes increasingly impatient with this laxity, the owner continues to shout on all the rooftops that his funeral services project must soon see the day, time to finalize the final details.
